Pickleball Rackets and Balls

Somewhere between a ping pong paddle and a padel racket, the pickleball paddle is made of composite materials, offering lightness and durability. It is designed to hit a perforated hard plastic ball. This perforated ball allows for a relatively slow game.

Like ping pong and unlike tennis, pickleball can be played in a relaxed manner without causing fatigue. This makes it a fun and friendly activity to enjoy with friends.

Rules of Pickleball

The serve must be made diagonally, from the baseline service box to the opposite service court.
The server should hit the ball below the waist, with an upward-moving racket, and contact should be made below waist level.
Each player serves in turn and continues to serve as long as their team scores points.

After the serve, the ball must bounce once before the opponent can return it.
After the return of serve, the ball must also bounce once more before the serving team can hit it. After these two bounces, the ball can be played either as a bounce or as a volley.

Volleys (hitting the ball in the air before it hits the ground) are prohibited in the non-volley zone, also called "the kitchen," an area 7 feet (approximately 2.13 meters) on either side of the net.

Pickleball is usually played to 11 points, and a team must win by at least 2 points.
Only the server (or the serving team in doubles) can score points.

Players change ends after each play of a match, and sometimes during the game if stipulated before the start of play, usually when a team reaches 6 points in an 11-point match.
